I have received a lot of emails asking this question. Most of the stores run on a Wednesday-Tuesday cycle (nearly all grocery stores). The new lists are available Wednesday on GrocerySmarts for these stores. Others run Sunday-Saturday (Walgreens). If you have questions regarding policies or such at the store you shop at just call them. They have store directors and assistants that are always willing to help you!

Hello! I get tons of emails, and phone calls with questions about this awesome GrocerySmarts system that I decided I would post some of the questions and answers. I have also had tons of great questions asked in recent classes, and will be answering those on here too! So, here are some Q&A's for today.

Q: How much does it cost a month to use the GROCERYSMARTS website?
A: It is a FREE website. So, you pay NOTHING AT ALL FOR THIS AWESOME SERVICE!

Q: I bought a paper at the store when I was there Saturday but there was no coupon inserts. Where do I get the coupons?
A: They come in the SUNDAY newspaper.


Q: Do I have to subscribe to the newspaper to get a newspaper?
A: No you do not. BUT (yes there is a GIANT BUT) you will spend WAY MORE in the long run buying to one from the newstand each week!

Q: Can I order a newspaper subscription from you?
A: Yes! I would love to help you. GrocerySmarts has negotiated amazing deals on newspapers. Just let me know if you would like to order. You can email or call for details!

Q: I have been buying newspapers from the grocery store each week and already using GROCERYSMARTS, but sometimes my coupon inserts are missing when I buy the paper at the store. Whats going on?
A: The sad truth is that lots of times people will steal the inserts out of the other newpapers that are in the stand. This is a serious problem when you are only buying the newspaper for the sake of the coupons- and then you dont get them. Its a bummer! This is why I strongly suggest you subscribe to a paper.

Q: Do I really end up saving any money using GrocerySmarts when I have to pay for a newspaper (regardless of how much I pay for it)?
A: There is only one way to put it YES! YES YES YES! That is why I spend time teaching about this amazing system. You will be able to DRASTICALLY cut your families grocery budget. At the same time you will be able to build a food storage- all with less money than you were using before. My personal experience has been that we are now spending less than half of what we were before on groceries and we have built a fabulous storage while saving TONS of money.

One last question for today.

Q: When I go to the store do they lose money because I use coupons?
A: NO! The grocery stores LOVE coupon users. Coupon users actually bring in more money for the store. How? The store gets paid the face value of the coupon PLUS .08 cents per coupon.

it might seem silly but....ill say it anyway

This may seem like a total "duh" kind of comment, but after being asked this one many many times it has become obvious that I should probably address it. What do I buy when I look at the list? ONLY THE THINGS THAT MY FAMILY WOULD NORMALLY USE! Do NOT (unless you really want to) buy stuff just because it is a super cheap sale price and you have coupon. A deal, even a FIVE STAR DEAL, is not a deal if it is something that the people in your household would not eat, or use! Example--dont buy pet food because its nearly free if you DONT HAVE A PET. The exception to this being you plan on giving it to a neighbor who does. So, I know that there are many who probably think that this is a "duh" kind of question but I dont believe in "dumb questions". So please feel free to ask away.
